I’m Teresa Meyer, a Registered Nurse who has been caring for others since 1999, with a special passion for hospice and end-of-life care. Throughout my nursing career, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside patients and families during some of the most tender and meaningful moments of their lives. Those experiences have taught me that end-of-life care is about so much more than medical needs. It’s about comfort, connection, dignity, understanding, and having someone beside you who can help make an uncertain journey feel a little less overwhelming.

 

I am deeply passionate about helping people experience a peaceful, meaningful end-of-life journey. One that honors the individual, respects their wishes, and gives families the opportunity to be present and involved in ways that are meaningful to them.

 

That passion led me to create Sacred Space Journey Care.

 

As an End-of-Life & After-Death Care Guide, I provide non-medical education, emotional support, and compassionate guidance to individuals and families before, during, and after death. I especially want to help families understand their options surrounding home vigils, home wakes, family participation in after-death care, and meaningful goodbyes.

 

I believe families deserve to know that there can be time to pause, to gather, to say goodbye, and to honor the person they love. My role is not to take over. It is to walk beside you, to answer questions, offer education, create a calm presence, and help you feel more prepared for what lies ahead. Whether you are preparing for an expected death, sitting vigil with someone you love, or wondering what happens in the hours following death, you don’t have to navigate those moments alone.

 

It is an honor to be invited into such a sacred space, and I approach every family with compassion, respect, and deep reverence for the journey they are walking. My hope is simple: to help families feel informed, supported, and confident enough to be fully present for the moments that matter most.
